Creating a Culture of Communication and Collaboration

Through empathy, creativity, and trust

If you’ve gone through a merger, had a change in leadership, or another major organizational shift, you may be observing the following behaviors: miscommunication, distrust, friction between “newbies” and “veterans,” and/or people working in silos.

This interpersonal communication program aims to address these challenges and improve company culture by bringing people from different teams together to learn the skills and behaviors necessary to cultivate a culture of communication and collaboration beginning with how you communicate and connect.

FAQs

How does it work? What do we cover?

First, participants learn the basics of improv and how to apply the two primary principles of improv:

  1. Say, “Yes, and”

  2. Make each other look good

With these principles as our foundation, we continue learning about and improvising through:

  • Communication styles (using the DISC assessment )

  • Teamwork

  • Presence and body language

  • Giving and receiving feedback

  • Having difficult conversations

How is it delivered? What is the time commitment?

This interpersonal communication program can be delivered in two different ways:

In person - three half-days for up to 20 participants

Virtual training - six 90-minute modules for up to 12 participants

What if I have more than 12/20 people?

Great, let’s get everyone onboard at the same time, so that they are learning and applying the same skills together! We will work together to schedule several cohorts to go through the program in the same timeframe.
