Virtual Improv for Remote Team-Building

Rave Reviews

“This workshop is exactly what our team needed to move forward as one cohesive unit. Trust is the foundation of an effective team. The 'Yes, and' model of communication laid the framework to support each other through accountability without the fear of feeling cornered or (personally) attacked. So often we are quick to generate our response when another person is talking. Caitlin's exercises begin with presence and encourage participants to look beyond their own needs and instead, focus on the words and actions of others.”

— Bjorn Bonholzer, OD Practitioner

“Working with Caitlin was a bright spot in our day and was a fun, constructive break from everything going on in the world right now. We participated in activities that were lighthearted, and we could apply them to life at work or in our personal lives. It was nice to interact with our team.”

“Caitlin did a great job of creating a safe space and putting everyone at ease, especially for those who have not participated in an improv-style workshop. I was pleasantly surprised that even our more introverted team members fully participated and were brought out of their comfort zones in a safe space. We were all "allowed" to be silly and even in the very silly moments, it was still a productive workshop.”

Could you use a breather?

Looking for an opportunity to connect with your team in a fun way, while gaining valuable insights into a new way of working together?

In this 90-minute or two-hour, interactive, virtual team-building workshop for up to 12 participants, we will work to both shift our minds from fear and anxiety to a calm, creative and strategic way of thinking and being. How? Through improv!

Through improv-based team building activities, participants will create a new way of working, communicating and “being” together by:

  • Exploring ways to deal with the unexpected in a positive and creative way.

  • Enhance active listening skills (because it’s easy to zone out during a conference call!)

  • Role-play work-based scenarios, putting these skills to practice right away.

The Power of Laughter

Improv is not about being “funny,” that’s not the goal, the goal is to listen, be present and create together. However, because of these rules we do end up laughing a lot!  Research shows us that laughing together builds trust, helps us to deal with stress and allows for more creative thinking. It has the ability to strengthen bonds and sync teams.

Virtual improv for team building may be just what your remote team needs to build trust, strengthen communication and insert more joy into their work.

"Caitlin did an excellent job facilitating a workshop for my team. From the time we first met to preparation and the actual workshop, she was helpful and engaging and was highly focused on ensuring my workshop went the way I had envisioned. My team had excellent feedback afterwards and I can say it had an immediate positive impact on how my team interacted and felt about communication."

— Ishele Graves, Regional Vice President, US SLG East, North America Public Sector, Gartner

“I thought you did a great job. Very pleasant and allowed the team members to do most of the work.”

— J.D., State Bar of California

“My highlight of the workshop was being able to work with my co-workers in a different type of setting and in a new way. We learned a lot about how to actively listen and how to respond to situations in and out of the workplace.”

A lot has changed in the last two years

My intention for creating this virtual team building workshop, is to provide an opportunity for teams to laugh and learn together giving leaders a chance to say, “Yes” to an opportunity to pour into their teams.
